Teaching Portfolio

Biological Sciences

Here are the biological sciences courses I taught at the University of California, Irvine.

Experimental Microbiology Laboratory

The microbiology laboratory course focuses on techniques to isolate and identify microbial pathogenesis. It is primarily taken by undergraduates in biological sciences to prepare for the healthcare field.

General Microbiology Lecture

The general microbiology lecture course covers the details, consequences, and treatments of microbial pathogens. It is frequently taken by students looking for a career in healthcare.

Biochemistry Laboratory

The biochemistry laboratory course focus on the properties of enzymes and the culture and isolation of mutants of microorganisms.

Biochemistry Lecture

The biochemistry lecture course teaches students about the structure and properties of proteins, including major biochemical pathways and mechanisms for their control.

Molecular Biology Laboratory

The molecular biology laboratory course train students on performing experiments that illustrate the chemical and biological properties of nucleic acids. Emphasis is placed on recent techniques in recombinant DNA technology including gene isolation and characterization.

Molecular Biology Lecture

The molecular biology lecture course focuses on the biochemistry and replication of nucleic acids, including molecular genetics, protein biosynthesis, genetic code, regulation of expression of genetic information, and biochemical evolution.
